Colleges and river walk for visitors
Cambridge city centre has stunning buildings but many narrow, busy streets. The route map uses red flags to signal improvements that will increase safety for walkers.
Many visitors come by coach and this walk takes them along Silver St, Kings Parade and on to Garrett Hostel bridge in a circuit that leads back to the coach stop. This provides views of many colleges, Kings College chapel, Senate House, Market and the River Cam. We highlight concerns about pedestrian safety on Garrett Hostel bridge and call for improvement.
