St Matthews is a large primary school in Norfolk St and has benefitted from the County Council's 'School Street' initiative, which restricts traffic at school opening and closing times. Children come from the Mill Rd, Riverside York St, Grafton and other areas. Our red flags highlight where further improvements would make children's journeys safer on the various routes they use to reach the school. We call for a 'School Area' safety initiative and a permanent, removable bollard for the restricted zone of Norfolk St.
